Montenegrin Police Directorate and Police Academy exchange good practices on strengthening responses to violence against women and girls with their counterparts in Spain

As part of the OSCE’s efforts to empower women in the security sector and strengthen regional security, the OSCE Secretariat, with support from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and the five OSCE field operations in Central Asia, held the first meeting of the Regional Network of Women in Law Enforcement and Border Agencies in Central Asia in Vienna, Austria, on 7 and 8 May.

OSCE Women’s Peace Leadership Programme: addressing the gendered impacts of climate change

On April 22, 2025, the OSCE Gender Issues Programme, together with She Changes Climate, launched the third edition of the Women’s Peace Leadership Programme. The initiative supports women in stepping into leadership roles on climate action and peacebuilding across the OSCE region and its Partners for Co-operation.

OSCE trains Gender-Sensitive Police Units and Public Order Protection Department staff in Tajikistan to enhance response to domestic violence

From 8 to 9 April 2025 the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, in co-operation with the Public Order Protection Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, organized a two-day training for 21 police officers, including the staff of the 19 Gender-Sensitive Police Units (13 women and eight men).
