Raphael Vendeville

Biography

Raphael Vendeville, Director of Internal Oversight at the OSCE Secretariat, brings over 25 years of extensive experience in internal audit, organizational risk, financial oversight, governance, and compliance including in international organizations.

Prior to joining the OSCE, he served as Head of Internal Audit Office at the Green Climate Fund (GCF) in South Korea and as Senior Internal Audit Officer at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Canada. He held several internal auditor and oversight positions within the Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS) of the United Nations Secretariat, and his international experience includes serving as Chief Resident Auditor at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in the Netherlands and various audit positions in OIOS at the United Nations Office in Geneva where he audited multiple UN entities. Earlier in his career, he worked in Paris and Lyon within different auditing and consulting firms in various auditing capacities at Mazars, Arthur Andersen and EY, where he gained extensive experience in financial auditing and internal controls.

Raphael holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Université Pierre Mendès-France, and one in Finance from the Academy of Lyon. He is also Certified Internal Auditor and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (North America Chapter).
